SCOTT B. HINKLE, J.D., CFP® is the leader of the firm’s credit union practice and brings over twenty years of experience in the financial services arena.
Mr. Hinkle specializes in working with CEOs, CFOs and key executives of credit unions, non-profits, and successful businesses using tools and techniques custom-designed to minimize taxes and maximize the efficient use of assets. He brings unique expertise in the structure and funding of supplemental executive retirement plans that benefit both the employer and the key executives.
As the leader of the firm’s credit union practice, Mr. Hinkle’s expertise has the greatest impact on credit unions with assets in excess of $500 million. He has assisted numerous credit unions improve the efficiency of their existing supplemental executive retirement plans, including 457(f) and split-dollar plans, in addition to helping organizations achieve higher yields on their safest and most liquid assets.
Mr. Hinkle has the unique ability to communicate complex financial strategies in a simple and easy-to-understand manner. As such, he frequently authors articles and whitepapers, and regularly serves as a provider of continuing education to accountants, attorneys and financial advisors.
Mr. Hinkle is a graduate of the University of California at Santa Barbara. He earned his Juris Doctor (JD) from Concord Law School, and in 1998, his Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) designation. Mr. Hinkle is a current member of the California State Bar.
Mr. Hinkle resides in Encinitas, California with his wife, Kelly, daughters Ella and Kate, and son, Sam.
